Q & A

Is the free version actually free?

Yes, and it stays free: four reminders of your own (the app's examples do not count), all three countries and all four languages, no adverts and no time limit. When your list outgrows four, Plus takes the cap off, lets you set more than one alert per item, attach photos and documents, and see the money insights, for NZ$2.95 a month or NZ$18 a year.

Where does my data live?

On your phone. There is no account and no sign-up, and your reminders, photos and documents stay there. Only two small things leave the phone by themselves, and neither carries your name or your reminders: the app asks RevenueCat, our payments provider, whether this phone has Plus, using a random install ID (and, if you buy, your purchase and subscription status); and if you use a Family plan, that random ID, and the family code if there is one, are checked by a small server we run. The privacy policy will list exactly what is kept and for how long.

Does it fill in my dates automatically?

No, and that is deliberate. Reminder123 never connects to your bank, your insurer or any government system. You enter a date once, and the app keeps counting down to it. That trade is what makes the privacy promise real.

Which countries does it work in?

Built in New Zealand first, with New Zealand, Australia and the United States catalogues ready at launch. Each country gets its own renewals: WoF and RUC for NZ, CTP and roadworthy for AU, inspections and property tax for the US.

What languages does it speak?

English, Spanish, French and German. The app follows your phone's language setting automatically, no configuration needed.

When can I get it?

It is in final testing now. It will come to Google Play (Android) and the App Store (iPhone and iPad) on the same day. We have not set a date yet.
